The flood has not hit where we live. And we live right in front of the water company canal. So 30 minutes ago it was raining hard and right now the rain is subsiding with lighting and thunder. When I looked outside to the canal with a few more days of raining it could get flooded. Last night our neighbor called ready to bring sandbags to block our front patio. I believe we are safe but people are worried and scared and stocking up food supplies. It's the worst flood in 50 years. Photos are from Bangkok Post and other sources. Do keep the flood victims in your thoughts and prayers and help as much as you can by donating to any of organizations that you trust.

After an early start to church as we were
collecting donations for the flood victims, we came home around 2.30 and I took
a nap till 5pm. Felt more tired to cook soup so we ordered for a pizza delivery.
Yeah, four hours of not eating had me zapped.
Then I got some energy, started to make
homemade soy milk. I soaked the soy beans last night, rinsed with new water and
add about 6 glasses with the beans, blended it really fine, pour through a
cheesecloth, squeeze all the milk as much as you can, throw away the blended
soy beans, put the soy milk in a double pot to boil, (so I don't have to stand
there stirring and so it will not get it burnt) but did stir it occasionally.
About 30 minutes later add sugar (I added brown sugar) to to your taste and you got fresh soy
milk!
If you buy it from outside, you'll get to choose what you want to add in your milk like: cooked kidney beans, barley, soaked basil seeds and many more. I mostly like my soy milk plain but sometimes add some dark herb jelly in it.

My sister sent me a link of what preggy women should eat. Of course, I would go for something sweet first :) And since husband don't want anything with pumpkin in it the ginger crinkle cookies looked good. I’m glad the recipe asked for ¾ cups of roasted wheat germJ Made a batch and had with soy milk, yum! It looks like gingersnaps but tastes lighter but heartier.
