Oh how time flies even with the flood still rising! Yeah, it's not fun hearing about it almost 24/7. So watch the news to get enough of what's going on and turn it off.
This afternoon Bruce took me out to this new chicken wing place, well for us. It's in Thong Lor Soi 13 in a small strip mall and got a lot of ravings for the best American chicken wings in town. The skin was fried paper thin, perfectly crispy. That being said, it's should be a once in awhile outing as it's uber tasty and not so good on the heart:)
I ordered the spicy sauce and Bruce had the soy garlic sauce coating and it came with pickled daikon, yummy. We preferred the spicy sauce as it's not vinegary spicy like in some parts of America and agreed that Coke should be the choice of drink as my plum soda didn't really quench my thirst with that spiciness in your mouth. My side order was kimchi coleslaw which wasn't my favorite. Bruce got sticky rice with his which would is perfect. The additional side order was clear mushroom soup which was so good. I decided to try the soy milk ice cream with roasted sesame seed topping. It was so blaze and a bit on the sesame flavor. If you're looking for the best American wings, this is the place.
*Update: there's a branch in Los Angles too, woohoo!

ReplyDeleteThe next time you go to LA, stop by. You will surely love it!!!
ReplyDeleteI love their boneless chicken, but only with the soy sauce - the spicy one is too much for me. Their french fries and tofu salad are yummy as well.
ReplyDeleteThe flood news is so stressful and depressing so I try to do as many fun things as I can. I hope you are in a safe location.
Stay safe and healthy! Eating fried chicken sounds good! :)
